"I thank you for inviting me to speak at the Future Cities Conference at Cityscape Global 2011. The panelists, all dynamic leaders, presented a wealth of insight and knowledge. The discussions helped recognize emerging opportunities and developments that impact the regional and global cluster developments. It also offered us an excellent platform to share our learning about the knowledge-cluster model developed by TECOM Investments. I congratulate the team for organizing a well-planned and highly successful event."
Ismail Al Naqi, Managing Director, TECOM Business Parks - Operations

"The conference attracted professionals from truly across the spectrum of activities since the Future Cities conference involved every aspect of the city’s well being, growth and development. I thought the audience very well appreciated the presentations and discussions with some ‘take away points’ on the various facets of such activities which make the city what it is. A very lively and energetic conference!"

"Attending the Future Cities Conference in 2011 and visiting the city of Dubai gave me a great opportunity to introduce what steps the city of Reykjavík has taken towards increased sustainability. Also, it was very useful for me to familiarize myself with the views and approaches of the other participants, so I brought home with me a lot of new wisdom which will benefit Reykjavík in its mission to become an even greener city."
Karl Sigurdsson, Chairman of the City of Reykjavík's Environment and Transport Council, Iceland

"Cityscape's Future Cities and World Architecture Congress conferences were excellent. They were well organised, structured and brought a number of global decision makers together to share their experiences and investment opportunities. I enjoyed the networking breaks and I will definitely participate again."

A 10 minute drive from the Dubai International Airport, DICEC is at the heart of Dubai's Business District. Conveniently located along the arterial Sheikh Zayed Road, the complex adjoins the high speed metro's DWTC station.

The historic landmark on Dubai's dynamic skyscraper corridor of Sheikh Zayed Road is the iconic 37-storey Sheikh Rashid office tower, commissioned as the first property of the Dubai World Trade Centre. DWTC facilities have expanded since, to comprise the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), the Convention Tower office building, on-site accommodation at the Novotel and Ibis hotels and serviced accommodation at the Dubai International Hotel Apartments. The newest addition to the DICEC complex is the Sheikh Saeed Halls - a state-of-the-art extension that opened for the 2009 Exhibition Season. Comprising of four new halls, this extension brings the DICEC's total amount of covered exhibition space to over a million square feet. The halls have been designed and built with the aim of fuelling the growing momentum of the MICE sector in Dubai and handling the increased demand for exhibition space throughout the region. In addition to this venue, DWTC also manages the Airport Expo Dubai. With an infrastructure ideally suited for industrial trade shows, this 33,000 square meter venue is adjacent to the Dubai Airport.

Pursuing a vision to make Dubai the world's leading destination for all major exhibitions, conferences and events, DWTC has evolved from being the forerunner of the fast-growing exhibitions industry into a multi-dimensional business catalyst that has propelled Dubai’s meteoric rise to a leading global economic powerhouse alongside Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.

With 30 years of expertise in Venue and Estate Management, DWTC’s offerings include exhibitions organising, facilities management, property leasing, providing Event Services, Hospitality and F&B, both within our venues and for weddings and outside catering requirements. As an estate manager, DWTC services government offices, foreign embassies, trade commissions, regional headquarters for leading international companies and Fortune 100 corporations.

Hosting more than 100 world class-shows annually, DWTC currently welcomes over 1 million visitors and thousands of exhibitors from every corner of the globe to some of the most acclaimed sector specific trade fairs, blockbuster consumer events and prestigious international conferences in Dubai.
